Following the takeover of El-Fashir in Sudan’s North Darfur by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), tens of thousands of civilians are fleeing toward relatively safer areas such as Debbe and Tawila.  Along the way, displaced people are facing looting, violence, hunger, and thirst, with the number of displaced persons in Tawila alone reaching 1 million.

In camps set up in Debbe, there is a severe shortage of food, clean water, and medical services, while local communities and volunteer organizations are providing limited support. Authorities report that many families from North and South Kordofan have also fled due to intensified attacks. With new waves of displacement expected, concerns are growing over a deepening humanitarian crisis.
