Judicial cooperation between Turkey and Palestine gained momentum as Turkish Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç hosted Palestinian Attorney General Akram al-Khatib in Ankara. During the meeting at the Ministry, both sides discussed ways to strengthen coordination and joint work between their judicial institutions.
Commenting on the talks, Tunç stated that Israel’s ongoing attacks on Gaza once again reveal the weakness of international legal mechanisms. He emphasized that the global system remains ineffective in preventing war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Gaza.
Tunç affirmed that Turkey, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, will continue to stand with the Palestinian people and intensify efforts to defend their legitimate cause on international platforms.
During the meeting, Turkish and Palestinian delegations also agreed to enhance judicial cooperation, expand mutual experience sharing, and develop joint legal initiatives.
