On Tuesday, three mysterious explosions occurred in uninhabited areas surrounding the Mezzeh Military Airbase in western Damascus. The blasts caused no injuries.

According to a correspondent for Shafaq News, the explosions were triggered by projectiles whose origin has not yet been identified. Neither Syrian officials nor the Israeli military released an immediate statement regarding the incident.

Investigators are working to determine where the munitions were launched from, while early assessments suggest that Israeli drones may have been responsible.

Earlier the same day, Syria’s state news agency SANA reported a separate confrontation in the town of Khan Arnaba in Quneitra province. The report stated that Israeli forces entered the area with armored vehicles, exchanged fire with residents, and wounded three civilians. SANA claimed that Israeli soldiers opened fire after advancing into the town.

The Israeli military, however, stated that its troops fired only at “suspects” who approached them and were considered a potential threat.

These developments unfolded as nationwide celebrations continued in Syria to mark the first anniversary of the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime.
