Istanbul – Turkey's achievements in healthcare continue to draw international attention. In this context, Ghana’s prominent traditional leaders, King Nana Kwebena Baah (Boundary Chief of Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Area) and Queen Ohemaa Adwoa Manhan Dokua (Queen Mother of Sansemi, Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council), visited Atlas University Hospital.During their visit, the King and Queen were briefed on Turkey’s healthcare system and had the opportunity to observe the hospital's facilities and infrastructure firsthand. Ideas were exchanged on potential collaborations in the field of health between the two countries.Atlas University Hospital CFO Ramazan Metin emphasized that they are open to all forms of cooperation in healthcare. He noted that they are ready not only as a hospital but also as Atlas University to engage in academic collaboration. He highlighted the possibility of joint projects especially in student and medical staff exchanges. Metin also mentioned that the hospital already has ongoing initiatives across various parts of Africa.Additionally, he stated that establishing an Atlas University Hospital office in Ghana is under consideration, which could further strengthen healthcare diplomacy between the two nations.This visit is expected to lay the foundation for long-term cooperation in health tourism, education, and research between Turkey and Ghana.
