Changing Global Balances
In our previous articles, we discussed Egypt’s economic transformation, industrialization targets, advantages in the investment environment, and the opportunities that may arise in the upcoming period.
Now, I want to look at Egypt from a broader perspective.
Because the world is changing. Economic balances are being reshaped, and the direction of production and trade is shifting. Countries are searching for new markets, new investment areas, and new economic partnerships.
During this period when global economic balances are reshaping, Egypt stands out as one of the primary countries where investors and international capital turn their attention.
One of the most important reasons for this is Egypt’s strategic location and its strong human capital.
Located in North Africa, within the Middle East, on the coast of the Mediterranean, and along critical trade routes between Europe and Asia, Egypt also possesses a large and young population that provides a significant workforce potential.
These two elements do not merely provide Egypt with a commercial advantage; they also offer the country the opportunity to become a major production and logistics hub alongside being a regional power.
The Suez Canal, ports, developing industrial zones, and transportation infrastructure further strengthen this advantage.
Today, an investor turning their gaze toward Egypt does not just see the domestic market. They evaluate Africa's growing markets, the Arab world, Europe, and trade routes extending to Asia all together.
Egypt's true advantage lies right here. It offers investors the opportunity not only to produce in Egypt but also to reach diverse markets through Egypt.
This change holds a distinct meaning for Turkey as well. Turkey's production and industrial experience can complement Egypt's strategic location and access to regional markets.
Joint investments and collaborative production models can elevate economic relations between the two countries to a new level. These partnerships can also contribute to the creation of a broader economic sphere stretching from Turkey and Egypt to the Middle East and Africa.
Egypt's role in the upcoming period will become even more prominent as production, investment, logistics, energy, and trade strengthen within the same structure.
Because today, Egypt's story is not limited to its own economy alone. Egypt is now reshaping itself as a key actor in a vast economic geography stretching from the Middle East to Africa, and from Europe to Asia.
With our new article series, “The New Role of Egypt,” we will examine this transformation, Egypt’s regional position, and its increasingly powerful connections with the world economy.
